Weather and Climate

Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach is geographically fortunate: our location right on Charlotte Harbor—and our proximity to the Gulf of Mexico—means we're usually enjoying gentle sea breezes.

Our summer temperatures can range from 80 to 95 degrees with an average of 82, which means plenty of sunshine and beach time.

Winter temperatures can range from 49 to 85 degrees, with an average of 65 degrees in January, February, and March. This makes for nice cool mornings and evenings and pleasantly temperate days.

Our climate means our visitors can enjoy water sports, golfing, fishing, festivals, etc.—and even plan outdoor weddings and reunions—all year round.

The sun is usually shining and the water is always warm, so come on down and immerse yourself in all Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach has to offer. It's the perfect Florida getaway, no matter when you visit.
