Snorkeling & Scuba Diving

Kids on the Beach with Snorkeling Equipment and Water ToysGetting out on the water is great, but if you’re a scuba or snorkeling enthusiast, getting in (and under) is even better. Happily, we’re fortunate to have an assortment of professional dive shops in the area, ready to refill tanks, conduct classes, lead dive excursions, and more. In addition to comprehensive equipment repair and rental, these shops also carry other fun stuff like skim boards, goggles and snorkels, fins, and more.

If you’re already certified, a dive trip to explore the artificial reefs in Charlotte Harbor and the nearby Gulf of Mexico is a “must-do” in the area. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba, our shops make it easy with classes that start online and finish live and in person with four open water dives (some time constraints may apply). A vacation in the water that ends with scuba certification sounds like a good one to us!

When it comes to snorkeling, the beach water of Englewood Beach, Stump Pass Beach State Park, and our barrier islands (Palm/Knight Island, Don Pedro Island, and Little Gasparilla Island) are clear and full of sea life.

The best way to appreciate the importance of our precious waters is by immersing and exploring, and you’re invited to come on down and dive in!
