Annual Events & Festivals

There are festivals and annual events for all in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach! We celebrate everything around here, from music, art, culture, food, and history to community, nature, “mudding,” fishing (and fish!), and even speed boat racing and flying. Event dates may change—and you never know when our creative community will come up with a new event—but we offer the seasonal overview below to give you an idea of what may be happening when you visit.

Winter (December–February)

The holiday season brings arts, culture and holiday lights to the forefront in December, including holiday light displays, boat parades, and New Year’s fireworks over the harbor. In between are concerts, art festivals, the county fair and other lively activities to enjoy.

Spring (March–May)

Spring brings a national art festival, a flower festival, a nationally-known fishing tournament, a tasty opportunity for local restaurants to strut their stuff, and a St. Patrick’s Day celebration that takes over downtown Punta Gorda.

Summer (June–August)

Art festivals and firework displays take center stage in the summertime in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach.

Fall (September–November)

In addition to the culinary adventures of a local restaurant week and several treasured Halloween traditions, Fall is when the need for speed is satisfied with an awe-inspiring air show and powerboat races. Add even more art, cultural, and holiday celebrations, and you’re set!
