Early September
The Charlotte Players usually kick off their season with a funny and/or touching show in early to mid September. Dates will be published as confirmed.

Let’s Eat! Englewood Restaurant Week
(Estimated) September 10–25, 2026
The annual Englewood Restaurant Week is the perfect chance to expand your culinary horizons. With set prices for both 2-course lunches and 3-course dinners at a variety of local restaurants, you’ll want to try them all!

ReptiDay Port Charlotte
September 12, 2026
Reptile appreciators rejoice, the family-oriented ReptiDay is back with plenty of opportunities to learn about “outside-the-pet-store” animals. You may even find a new family pet from among the hundreds of reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, arachnids, and small exotics in attendance.
Punta Gorda September Sullivan Street Craft Festival
Mid to Late September
This is a annual event and dates will be added once they're published. Downtown Punta Gorda will be abuzz with artistic energy for the September Sullivan Street Craft Festival. Shop the creative works of artisans from across the country and to explore Punta Gorda’s thriving independent restaurant scene while you’re at it!
Key Lime & Tropical Fest
September 19, 2026
Head over to Fishermen’s Village to celebrate all things Key Lime while enjoying live music, vendors, and activities for kids of all ages.

Labor Day Weekend:
There's usually a big to-do over the Labor Day weekend. In 2025, the Battle of the Bands & Food Truck Throwdown at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds held center stage, so keep this holiday on your radar for next year!
Englewood Beach Waterfest Pirate Poker Run
Early September
Ken & Barb’s Grove City Kitchen was the spot to get in on the Pirate Poker Run last year. This annual pre-Englewood Beach Waterfest event usually takes place in early September.
Folk & Flutter Butterfly Festival at Peace River Gardens
Mid September
This unique festival featured live music, cold drinks, great food, butterly-themed activities and vendors and more!
Edgar Allen Poe Speakeasy - Chapter Two
We've been graced with this fascinating and chilling experience twice so far, so here's hoping the Speakeasy returns to Port Charlotte for another go!
Weekly Events
The Punta Gorda Downtown Farmer’s Market, Saturdays, 8 am–1 pm, offers a wide variety of ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook food, souvenirs, art, plants, and much more.
The Punta Gorda History Park Market, Sundays, 9 am–1 pm, features some produce but the focus is on art, antiques, original food products, pet accessories and treats, etc.
The weekly Wine Tastings by Punta Gorda Chocolate & Wine is the perfect place to explore new vintages and brews, and maybe find your new favorite!
Live Entertainment
The Parrot Magazine is the go-to source for local live music in the area.
Visani Italian Steakhouse and Comedy Theater presents musical tribute shows and live stand-up by nationally recognized comedians.
