October in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach means the air gets just a bit cooler, yet the water stays warm. The beaches are uncrowded, and the beach restaurants are always just steps away. Halloween Notte

The annual Halloween Notte at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds is one of the signature Halloween events in the area and is fun for all! With three weekends of festivities in October, leading up to Halloween night, you can go again and again to enjoy the petting zoo and pony rides, bouncey castles, a pumpkin patch, face painting, and fun carnival food, three haunted houses, and much more.
 

Haunting on the Harbor

Haunting on the Harbor set up their amazing haunted house across the street from Celtic Ray Public House and were open for 5 spooky nights, so definitely keep an eye on them to see what they come up with for next year.
 

Halloween Parties in Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte

To give you an idea of the kind of Halloween fun we enjoy in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach, we're including some fun spooky-season happenings. Keep an eye on the businesses mentioned as it gets closer to next year's spooky season:

Spooky season is Hallowbean Coffee Co.'s favorite (of course) so they usual schedule several events in October, like Crafternoons, Halloween Trivia, Costume Contests, and more! 

Landy's Restaurant had a fun Halloween Kids' Pumpkin Painting Contest that also featured games like Plinko, Cornhole, and more, all day!

Visani Italian Steakhouse and Comedy Theater threw a Bee Gees Halloween Disco Dance Party.

Downtown Kava threw their 4th Annual Haunted Halloween with Frankenshots" on the "Night of the Living Dead" Outside Porch Bar.

The History Park Market's Dog Costume Contest always takes place near the end of October, so be sure to dress up your fur kid and head on over for a howling good time!

Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast offered several Halloween experiences, a family friendly "Pirates of the Scare-ibbean" and a grown up "Graveyard Rave at Level Boo" at their rooftop pool, that lasted until dawn.

Pineapple Jack-o-Lantern on the BeachFedora's Cigar & Wine Bar celebrated with a Halloween Party featuring a costume contest with a cash prize, food, cigar, and drink specials, and fun giveaways all night.

Charlie Foxtrot Brewing's Halloween Party included a pumpkin carving contest, live music, a Food Truck, and more.

TT's Tiki Bar's Halloween Night Party always includes plenty of spooky surpises, specialty cocktails, live music, and a costume contest.

The Perch 360 Halloween Party on the Rooftop always offers food and drink specials, a live DJ, a costume contest, and the best views around.

The Twisted Fork presented a tribute concert, Halloween with Forever Ozzy + Hollow Point, so who knows what they'll do next year. 

The Halloween Party at Punta Gorda's Celtic Ray Public House featured live music in the beer garden, music upstairs, and the Haunting on the Harbor across the street.

The Halloween Party Bash at All-Star Sports Grill featured DJ, costume contest, and more.

Punta Gorda Adventures offered three Halloween Costume Cruises aboard "The Oasis" Tiki Boat.

Every October Weekend (Friday through Sunday)

Prana Farms in Punta Gorda typically offers a Pumpkin Patch and a Haunted Walk every weekend in October. With a petting zoo, hayrides, the Treat Barn, pumpkins (of course), and much more, this is the place to go for family-friendly Halloween fun!

The Cedar Point Environmental Park always offers an annual Halloween Haunted Trails event featuring spooky guided haunted trails, food trucks, live animals, crafts, costume competition and more. The decorated haunted trails are perfect for younger kids before 7 pm, and get scarier after dark, for older kids.
