There's something a bit magical about spending the Fourth of July on the waters of Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach. Whether you're watching fireworks light up the sky over Charlotte Harbor from a boat, cheering on a boat parade from the marina, or staking out a spot on the lawn with a cold beer and a plate of festival food, we know how to celebrate. Here's where to find the fun:
On Land

Fourth-Fest 2026
Laishley Park is the heart of the action. Fourth-Fest brings Water-Mania waterslides, vendors, festival food, cold beer, and more, capped off with an elaborate fireworks show over the harbor. The festivities kick off at 3 pm, so plan to arrive a little early to snag a good spot.
Charlotte Harbor July 4th Boat Parade
Before the evening festivities, head over to Laishley Marina for the boat parade which gets underway at 11 am. If you've got a boat, you're welcome to join in the fun. If not, the shoreline is a perfectly great place to wave flags and cheer. Details on Facebook.
A Few Tips for Fourth-Fest
Parking near Laishley Park fills up quickly, so plan to arrive early or consider rideshare. Bring a blanket or low lawn chairs for the fireworks show, and if you're heading to the marina for the boat parade, a little sunscreen goes a long way in the July sun. Most waterfront spots will be busy by early afternoon, so grab your table or your patch of grass while you can.
Fishermen's Village Independence Day Celebration
Fishermen's Village goes all out for their 4th of July celebration. It usually lasts most of the holiday weekend and features family-friendly festivities that build toward fireworks over the harbor.
Keep an eye on these spots as the holiday approaches: they've celebrated in style in previous years and we'll update this page as events are confirmed:
- TT's Tiki Bar has been known to throw a lively Fourth of July party with live music and dancing under the fireworks.
- Perch 360 typically hosts a fireworks-watching bash from the best vantage point in town, atop the Wyvern Hotel.
- Military Heritage Museum hosted a Family Fun Day last year, with activities the whole family could enjoy.
On the Water
King Fisher Fleet's Sunset and Fireworks Cruise
Few things top watching Fourth of July fireworks from the water. A Sunset and Fireworks Cruise with King Fisher Fleet is a perennial favorite and fills up fast, so don't wait to reserve your spot.
These operators also offered fireworks cruises last year—we'll update this space as dates are confirmed:
Punta Gorda Adventures offered three departure times last Fourth: an afternoon cruise, an early evening sunset cruise, and a full-dark Fireworks Tiki Cruise.
In Englewood, Lemon Bay Dolphin Tours ran a popular Fourth of July Fireworks on the Water boat tour.
However you choose to spend the day, Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach puts on a real celebration. Welcome to the party.
