Southwest Florida comes alive every fall with the Englewood Beach Waterfest, a multi-day celebration of water, racing thrills, and local flavor—like the beachy restaurants and bars within walking distance of the sand and several other Waterfest-ready spots nearby.

Here’s a look at typical year’s events so you can start planning for next year:

Race Day

Waterfest Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA) World Championship Boat RacesEnglewood Beach typically hosts the APBA Offshore World Championship in mid-October, so keep an eye on their site for updates. This amazing race brings heart-pounding offshore powerboat races to the Gulf coast as top teams compete for glory while rescue crews trained in advanced rescue techniques keep everyone safe behind the scenes.

Family Conservation Center

Families and ocean lovers always enjoy the Marine Education Exhibits and the Family Conservation Center. With interactive and engaging learning modules on coastal ecosystems, sustainable practices, local marine life and more alongside other fun stuff like Face Painting, a photo booth, and a Butterfly Encounter, people of all ages will have a blast!

Food and Drink

There are always a range of refreshments and treats for all ages with diverse food vendors ranging from festival snacks to local seafood and classic favorites along with several beach restaurants within walking distance. There's also usually a special Waterfest’s signature cocktail created, available for purchase (21+ with valid ID).

Waterfest tickets are usually available weeks ahead of the kick-off party, and typically includes bus transportation and parking.

You can always purchase tickets online and usually even at the Block Party or gate. After online purchase, you’ll receive a confirmation email with links to printable or smartphone QR code tickets—bring these to check-in for entry. Note: tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
