lotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte is the official home of the Tampa Bay Rays Spring Training, and we get just as excited every year to see the players in person and get a sneak preview of what may happen during the baseball season.
We've been honored to host numerous youth and collegiate tournaments like the Snowbird Baseball Classic at our well-maintained fields in the county. There’s nothing like a baseball game: the sounds of the game and the crowd, the aroma of enticing ballpark food, and the atmosphere of camaraderie allows us to step out of time for a bit.
Englewood Beach Waterfest
Englewood Beach Waterfest is held annually in November—usually the weekend before Thanksgiving—and is a celebration of all things water in Englewood and the Cape Haze peninsula. This is the culmination of the World Championships for Offshore Powerboat Association Racing (OPA). With marine education exhibits, food, family-friendly-fun, vendors, and more, there's something for everyone, which makes it an annual destination in itself!
Pickleball
Pickleball engenders such passion in its players it’s one of the fast-growing sports in the U.S. It’s so popular in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach, in fact, that we’ve got a deluxe facility—The PicklePlex® of Punta Gorda—devoted to Pickleball. You can also find courts all around the area.
