Riverwood often ranks in the top 10 on “Best of” Florida golf course lists, including being ranked #1 in the State of Florida by Golf Advisor in 2021. This 18-hole championship course boasts a stunning and perfectly challenging layout amidst natural terrain and an onsite restaurant that garners raves of its own.
 

Heritage Landing Golf & Country Club

Heritage Landing also features prominently on “Best of” lists. The layout takes full advantage of the magnificent Florida scenery. With comprehensive golf instruction, a pitching area, putting greens, a driving range, and a well-stocked pro shop, you’ll want for nothing when playing here.
 

Babcock National Golf Club

Babcock National features a distinctive Gordon Lewis layout which inspires old pros to improve their scores while also engaging new golfers. The 18-hole course runs through the innovative community of Babcock Ranch and features multiple tee lengths for all skill levels.

Rotonda is unique, with its five distinct golf courses equaling a total of 99 holes. The Hills will test your accuracy with its well-placed water hazards; each of Long Marsh’s 27 holes has its own character; The Palms boasts multi-tiered greens and “two of Florida’s most demanding holes;” Pinemore is a paradise of rolling fairways originally designed by Pete Dye; and The Links, with its triple tiered greens and multi-fingered sand traps, will test your club selection and skill.

 

Lemon Bay Golf Club

Lemon Bay is one of the area’s two courses in the Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary Program (ACSP) for golf, which means they take their commitment to the environment very seriously. This is an 18-hole Par 71 private club that offers public tee times over the summer. Call for more information.
 

Deep Creek Golf Club

Deep Creek offers a 6,000-yard layout surrounded by nature and native wildlife. Featuring seemingly endless waterways and plenty of bunkers to test your sand play, this course, designed by former PGA Tour Pro Mark McCumber, will definitely help hone your skills.

Twin Isles is a Par 72, 18-hole championship course featuring plenty of water features and wide fairways that provide challenges for both high and low handicappers. Many bird species call the course home and will entertain you between holes.
 

Bonus:

Aileron Golf Club is a private course, available only to guests of Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor. This championship level Par 72, 18-hole course, located just 10 minutes from the resort, will be easily accessible with shuttle service directly to and from the course. Featuring a brand-new clubhouse, onsite restaurant, pro shop, and much more, Aileron will be a destination in itself.
