Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach to Host USA BMX National Qualifier

Punta Gorda/Englewood, Florida (January 8, 2024) Hundreds of racers ages 3-65 will gather at the Charlotte BMX track in Punta Gorda’s Carmalita Park this weekend January 12-14,  2024 for the USA BMX Citrus Nationals. An estimated 600 riders in all age groups from across the United States are anticipated to participate in this year’s competition. About 2,000 family members will accompany them. The event is a partnership with Charlotte BMX, Charlotte County Community Services, and the Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor & Convention Bureau. Charlotte BMX is instrumental in providing logistical support and volunteers to USA BMX, the sanctioning organization.

President of Charlotte BMX, Amanda Carr stated,  “Our facility is 100% volunteer operated and this opportunity to host a USA BMX National Qualifier  is possible because of the support from our Visitor’s Bureau. The economic impact is enormous to Charlotte County. Our facility has many families that have been involved for decades, and Charlotte BMX’s success is a testament to their dedication.”
