Easter FAQs

When is Easter Sunday in 2026?
In 2026, Easter Sunday falls on April 5.
Why is Easter Sunday always a different date?
Easter is designated as the first Sunday after the full moon that follows the spring equinox. The spring equinox is always March 21.
Because the lunar calendar and the Gregorian (solar cycle) calendar are not in sync, Easter can be any Sunday from March 22 to April 25.
