Fall is fantastic in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach! The air gets just a bit cooler, but the water stays warm and the beaches are uncrowded, so it’s the perfect time to go for a swim, find some pretty shells, and laze on a beautiful beach. The earlier sunsets means plenty of evening left after the sky show to eat, drink, and be merry with amazing cuisine and live music everywhere.Closeup of seafood tower and colorful cocktail at Farlow's on the Water in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach

One of our Fall signature events is the annual Let’s Eat, Englewood Restaurant Week, usually running the last half of September. Participating restaurants offer set-price three-course dinners and two-course lunches. It's a scrumptious way to have culinary adventures without breaking the bank.

Enjoy spooky season in the area with the annual Halloween Notte event at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds. With pony rides, bounce houses, a haunted house, axe throwing, zombie paintball, and much more, the whole family will find something entertaining. Keep an eye out for details on the Haunting on the Harbor event, as well.

Fishermen's Village offers Trick-or-Treating through the Village, costume contests, and other seasonal festivities as well.

For those of you that will be visiting during November, you’ll also find a good number of restaurants open on Thanksgiving—some offering hearty buffets—to make that most famous of meals relaxing and delicious.

Our leaves may not change color much, but Fall in Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach more than makes up for that with warm water, beautiful sunsets and cool evenings, tropical vibes, and plenty to do. Start planning your fun fall visit now.
