The Freshest Seafood at Farlow's on the Water
Unique blending of cuisine from the Caribbean and the Southern United States.
Meet The Farlows
What started as a visit to the in-laws over 20 years ago resulted in a surprise relocation and the creation of one of Englewood’s most popular dining spots.
Keith’s parents discovered Englewood back in 1991 while searching for a place that reminded them of St. Croix. When Keith and Laurie visited, they felt the same pull: the community vibe, the warm hospitality, and the beaches and waterfront lifestyle all felt instantly comfortable.
The next thing they knew, Farlow’s on the Water was opening!

“We came on Memorial Day, we bought a restaurant and moved here Labor Day.”
- Laurie Farlow
The Farlows' Philosophy
Farlow’s menu was developed around what Keith, in St. Croix, and Laurie, in Kentucky, ate and learned to cook growing up. Both work closely with their chefs to refine and maintain a menu highlighting locally sourced honey, microgreens, and other regional products, with a special focus on fresh local seafood. They serve eight to ten different species of fresh fish at any given time, each prepared in ways that showcase their Caribbean-meets-Southern style.
The experience extends beyond the plate, with a beautiful and tropical waterfront setting, hand-crafted cocktails, attentive service, and a kitchen that’s known for accommodating guest requests with ease. Everything is made fresh daily, a major reason guests return again and again.

Delicious Caribbean and Southern Fusion
Don’t miss out on a trip (or several) to Farlow’s when you’re in the area, it’s one of the most delicious ways to experience Englewood’s coastal charm.
We highly recommend Laurie’s favorite, the Shrimp & Grits presented in a cheese bowl, and Keith’s pick, the whole roasted hogfish, but you’ll never go wrong with the fresh catch of the day and a handcrafted cocktail.
