Knight Island / Palm Island Resort

Island Getaways

The area's barrier islands are true gems:  Little Gasparilla, Gasparilla, Don Pedro, Knight (Palm), and Manasota Key are an adventure waiting to happen.  3 of the islands- Little Gasparilla, Don Pedro and Knight are not accessible by bridge.  While Knight Island (often called Palm Island) does have car ferry service, Little Gasparilla and Don Pedro are only accessible by personal watercraft or water taxi services.

Don't be confused by the names- though there are three named islands accessible only by water, these are actually one physical island, with Don Pedro Island (most of which is a State Park) in the middle. They were historically 3 (or more) islands, but mother nature, over the past 150 years or so, has merged them. There are many options ranging from resorts to vacation rental homes available.
