Are you the go-to person that friends look for when asking information about the area?  Do you have a few extra hours per week?  The Charlotte County tourism department is looking for volunteers to assist in welcoming visitors at our new visitor center in Port Charlotte.  Help welcome them and make them feel at home here in Charlotte County.

Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach: The Charlotte Harbor Gulf Island Coast, is the brand for Charlotte County tourism.  Tourism is the largest economic driver in Charlotte County, generating over $500 Million per year in economic impact.  Sure, it can take a few extra minutes to get where you're going in February and March... but compared to every-day, year-round traffic problems in other cities... it's really not that bad.  We wouldn't have nearly the number and quality of restaurants and attractions that we have if it weren't for visitors and our tax bills would be significantly higher.

If this is something that interests you, please reach out to Jerry Jones or Brynja Phipps at (941) 743-1900 for more information.  You can also submit your information electronically by clicking here. We have a comfy chair, any training you might need, a room full of brochures, hot coffee, friendly staff that would love to meet you and most importantly, visitors from all over the world looking to find out more about the area.

The visitor center and offices are located at 1700 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte 33948 suite G-2.  Located immediately next to Perkins in Murdock Plaza.
