Hospitality Industry Training

In partnership with Visit Florida, we are proud to be able to offer online hospitality training to our partners.  Modules will be continually released on a variety of topics.  After completion of each module, the person completing the module can print a certification.  

To attend these training sessions, you will need to obtain a login code from the VCB, please contact or call (941) 743-1900 to register or if you have any additional questions.

Again, you will need a login code (promo code) - there is NO COST for training with the VCB login code.

Initially, there will be two modules available, each with a course completion certification:

  • Module 1: "The Power of One:  Creating Memorable Guest Experiences in the Sunshine State"
    • Talk about tourism in Florida and the importance to the economy and their job.
    • Create positive personal interactions with visitors that will make them want to return to Florida.
    • Understand the diversity of visitors and how it affects communication.
    • Course requires 45 minutes to complete, included final exam.
  • Module 2: “Resolving Guest Conflict”
    • Link the correlation between working with guests to overcome conflicts and the impact on tourism in the State of Florida.
    • Define conflict and methods of dealing with conflict.
    •  Know the components to resolve a guest conflict and when to escalate it.
    • Course requires 45 minutes to complete, included final exam.
