The Downtown Rebound, taking place Oct. 2 and 3 in Punta Gorda, is a shopping extravaganza featuring specials and sales, demonstrations, artist meet-and-greets, a wine tasting, treats and games, personal pampering, fun, and more!
Participating shops include Sea Grape Gallery, Hipnotique Boutique, Tikis Boutique, Copperfish Books, Pomegranate & Fig Boutique, Hammer & Stain, and Perfectly Polished Nails. Follow the individual Facebook pages of the participating businesses to get updates, and get a nice overview of each in our blog post, here.
Get the Giggles
There’s always something going on at The Four Points by Sheraton Punta Gorda Harborside, whether it’s live music (like their Sizzling Summer Concert Series), gorgeous sunsets, beach volleyball, giant Jenga (!), or other fun stuff at The Tiki Bar, or a nice discount on the tasty eats at the Dockside Grill (see below).
We think one of the coolest of said somethings is their bi-monthly Library Comedy Club. Enjoy three new comics every other week in a laid-back environment with drinks and small plates available for purchase. Make plans now for the upcoming shows, Oct. 10 and 24. Tickets are $15, but the laughs are priceless!
Speaking of The Dockside Grill: they’re offering 10% off all food until Nov. 1, which sounds to us like the perfect excuse for multiple return visits to try everything! Simply mention that you saw the coupon on this post—or on the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce site—to get the discount.
People are raving about LMB Baking Company (“Luv My Bagel”), a new bagel shop in Punta Gorda (next to Working Cow Ice Cream on McKenzie St.)! They offer sandwiches, “lox and a schmear,” and more, and are open Tuesday—Saturday, 7 am until they sell out…so you may want to go head over on the earlier side of the day.
