After closing their restaurant due to Covid-19, Ephesus Mediterranean Grill co-owner Michelle Cakir started making masks for health care workers out of brand-new dinner napkins from the restaurant.
Doctors, nurses and healthcare providers are running out of masks or facing a very low supply, and something like this is a great way to use existing skills to make difference.
As co-owner of Ephesus Burak Cakir said, "Be resourceful. Just because you are out of work it doesn’t mean that work stops. Do something that makes a difference in your community. The more we help each other the quicker we can get out of this situation. We are strong when we work together."
Kudos to Ephesus Mediterranean Grill!
