Zimsculpt
Until April 20
Fair warning: ZimSculpt, the world-renown Zimbabwean sculpture exhibition, is only at the Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens for a few more weeks.
This is a must-attend cultural event and a completely unique experiences for travelers, so we highly recommend a visit before it’s gone. Even though this is the second time the Gardens have been graced with ZimSculpt, there’s no way of knowing if and when they’ll be back!
Florida Amateur Open
April 5 and 6
If you love pickleball (and who doesn’t, at this point?) you’ll want to experience the Florida Amateur Open tournament at the Pickleplex® of Punta Gorda, no matter if you register to play or you stop by to watch!
Southern Grand Slam Music Festival
April 11 and 12
The annual Southern Grand Slam Music Festival has quickly become a don’t miss for country music fans across the country. Featuring up-and-comers as well as established artists, this is one of the best fests for country music fans, and it’s happening in the amazing Charlotte County Sports Park. Grab your hat and slip on your boots and come on down.
Blues, Brews, and Blooms Fest

If you need a little more incentive to check out ZimSculpt, this festival at the Gardens should help, with live music, cold drinks and food trucks, the wonders of the Gardens, and the amazing ZimSculpt sculptures, all in one place! Browse, shop, sip, nosh, tap a toe, and enjoy!

Weekly Events
Farmer’s Markets
There are several weekly Farmer’s Markets in the area, offering everything from farm-fresh produce and local meat and seafood to hand-crafted art and jewelry to unique sweets and so much more.
The Punta Gorda Downtown Farmer’s Market happens every Saturday in the center of town and offers a wide variety of produce in addition to other foods, art, plants, and more.
Sunday means the Punta Gorda History Park Market, which does offer some produce but is more focused on art, antiques, fun food, pet treats and accessories, etc.
The Englewood Farmer’s Market happens Thursdays, October through May and covers several blocks of Dearborn Street with, well, any- and everything you can imagine!
Wine & Craft Beer Tastings
Look no further than Punta Gorda Chocolate & Wine for a wine lover’s dream—that is, their weekly Wine & Craft Beer Tasting. Enjoy the atmosphere, a few vintages, and maybe event find your new favorite craft beer!
