August 2025 sadly went too fast, in part because of several fun events!

The best local events included festivals celebrating Tiki culture and metaphysical exploration. a bona fide circus, and an entire weekend of food and music!

Special Events

TikiFest at Fishermen’s Village

Usually happens in early August Overhead shot of a few of the Spirit Fest vendors. Spirit Fest, featuring the Wisdom of Light Conference, comes to Punta Gorda in August of 2025.

Island flavors and culture were spotlighted in TikiFest, a family-friendly fest featuring live music, dance performances, unique vendors, and all kinds of food.

Spirit Fest

Typically happens in early-to-mid August

The most recent Spirit Fest featured the Wisdom of Light Conference and a wide variety of presentations, special music performances, panels, and more.

Loomis Bros Circus

Usually visits the area mid-August

Families enjoyed circus acts in the air-conditioned Expo Center at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds.

Battle of the Bands & Food Truck Throwdown

Labor Day Weekend

There's usually a big to-do over the Labor Day weekend, like 2025's Battle of the Bands & Food Truck Throwdown at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds, so keep an eye out.

Weekly Events

Wine and hors d'oeuvres at one of Punta Gorda Chocolate & Wine's Wine & Craft Beer Tastings. The Punta Gorda Downtown Farmer’s Market, Saturdays, 8 am–1 pm, offers a wide variety of ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook food, souvenirs, art, plants, and much more.

The Punta Gorda History Park Market, Sundays, 9 am–1 pm, features some produce but the focus is on art, antiques, original food products, pet accessories and treats, etc.

The weekly Wine & Craft Beer Tastings by Punta Gorda Chocolate & Wine is the perfect place to explore new vintages and brews, and maybe find your new favorite!

Live Entertainment

The Parrot Magazine is the go-to source for local live music in the area.

Visani Italian Steakhouse and Comedy Theater presents musical tribute shows and live stand-up by nationally recognized comedians.
