From November 2 to December 7, 2017 Sea Grape Gallery will be featuring two of their artists, Beverly Yankwitt, mixed media artist, and Bob Rioux, stained and blown glass artist.

Beverly Yankwitt lived in West Virginia where she received a degree in Medical Technology.  When she moved to Charlotte County, Florida she worked in the medical field for many years until she became a licensed Financial Advisor and worked with her husband Ralph at Merrill Lynch.  After retiring from the business world, Bev began pursuing her true love of art.  She works in oils and mixed media but especially enjoys doing abstract art.  As Bev says, “I love experimental abstract art because I believe it is the most unique, original expression an artist can render”.  Bev is a signature member of the International Society of Experimental Artists.  Her work has been accepted in many juried shows in which she has won numerous awards including an Honorable Mention at the prestigious Sun Coast Watercolor Show.

Bob Rioux has been working in glass since 1976 and has working glass studios in both Punta Gorda, Florida and Kennebunkport, Maine. Bob has partnered with his wife Elissa to combine both of their skills and creativity in designing unique glass kaleidoscopes.  Their original stained and blown glass kaleidoscopes are truly works of art and are in collections all over the world.  Several well-known individuals are proud owners of Bob and Elissa’s kaleidoscopes including Adele and Stephen King.  These beautiful works of art are created by incorporating unique fused dichroic glass and iridescent stained glass in the design, using detailed glass embellishments that produce especially brilliant colors in the images within the kaleidoscopes.

Many of Bev’s beautiful abstract paintings and the Rioux’s unique kaleidoscopes are prominently on display at the Sea Grape Gallery. In addition, more of their art and the artworks of all Sea Grape artists can be viewed at

Sea Grape Gallery has been awarded the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce’s Special Recognition Award and has consistently won the Charlotte Sun Newspaper’s Readers’ Choice Award for Best Art Gallery.  The Gallery will be celebrating their 30-year Anniversary in 2018.  Come visit the Gallery and its many talented award-winning artists who are on hand to welcome and assist visitors.
