Sea Grape Gallery is proud to announce that they will be showcasing the photography of Guest Artist, Gary Brownell, during the month of December 2017.

Gary’s first love is nature and travel photography.  During the summer, Gary and his wife Judi live in New York in a home on a wetland that has many photo opportunities.  The remainder of the year they live on the Peace River in Punta Gorda where Gary enjoys the natural wonders of Florida which is evident in his beautiful nature photographs.  Having traveled extensively in Europe, Asia and many countries, he has captured images of local landscapes which tell stories of the area.  As Gary explains “the many qualities of light and how they impact the characteristics of people, places, and things, and sometimes just the light itself, have influenced my images”.  Gary has won numerous awards in juried shows and his work has appeared in magazines and on calendars.

Many of Gary’s photographs will be on display at Sea Grape Gallery during the month of December.  Gary will be available at the Gallery during December’s “Alive After 5” to describe his art and the creative processes he uses to produce his wonderful works of art. His art can also be viewed on Sea Grape’s website at  Sea Grape Gallery is located at 113 W. Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda.  The Gallery is always open until 8 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month for “Alive After 5”.  To learn more about Sea Grape’s Guest Artist Program call 941-575-1718.
