Samantha Parkinson, director of the Englewood Art Center, a division of Ringling College of Art and Design, says she was inspired to create the Winter Art Market after receiving overwhelming positive response to the center’s inaugural Summer Art Market in July. “Both vendors and visitors encouraged us to do this again,” she says. “Guests enjoyed the opportunity to buy original works of art from local artists and artisans—and vendors appreciated the opportunity to show their work. They both enjoyed other aspects of the market, including the live music, food trucks and kid-centric activities.”
The Englewood Art Center also offers a variety of ongoing art classes, exhibits and other special events for children and adults. For more information or to register, visit ringling.edu/EAC or call 941-474-5548.
