CAPE HAZE, FL – (January 12, 2016)- Palm Island Resort, the honored host of the Ocean Crest Alliance’s exclusive fundraising event on February 5-6 entitled Your Life. Your Legacy. Adopt an MPA, invites area residents and visitors to attend and join the resort in supporting marine protected areas of the oceans.

The keynote speaker for the first annual event will be renowned Oceanographer Dr. Sylvia Earle who will address the Hope Spot’s – MPA’s and National Marine Sanctuaries Act programs. She will be joined by speakers Greg Jacoski, Director of the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation; Dr. Bob Hueter, Associate Vice President Research at Mote Marine Laboratory; Dr. Billy Causey, Regional Director Southeast Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Region at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; and a special tribute to Dr. Eugenie “Genie” Clark, Founder of Mote Marine Laboratory by her son Tak Konstantinou.

The itinerary includes a Friday night dinner hosted in a tent on the beach under the moon and stars with ocean blue linens, white orchids and a steel drum band. A brunch and presentation on Saturday morning will further educate the audience, arriving via private jets at the exclusive Coral Creek Airport nearby.

The $1,000 Snook Pass includes the Friday night banquet from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. including hors d'oeuvres, dinner and featured speakers. The event, limited to 150 people will host a silent auction and open bar. A $1,500.00 Tarpon Pass, limited to 50 people, includes the Friday night banquet and a champagne brunch "meet and greet" with the celebrity guests.
