The Mangrove Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society invites the public to join in a field trip at 9 am on November 25, 2017 at Old Miakka Preserve located at 251 Myakka Road in Sarasota, Florida 34240. 

Jeff Weber, site manager for the Preserve, has assured us that trail conditions will be excellent by November 25 when we plan to strike off with Trail Guide, Al Squires on a leisurely walk to search out area wildlife and seasonal blossoms. DIRECTIONS: Take I 75 to the Fruitville Rd exit. Drive East on Fruitville Rd (Rt 780). When you reach the end of Fruitville Rd, go straight ahead onto the dirt road. The parking area is a short distance in on the right. We will meet you there in the parking area at 9 am.
