PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (Oct. 5, 2017) – Punta Gorda Airport announces new seasonal nonstop service through Allegiant to Omaha, Nebraska. Service begins Thursday, Dec. 14 with one-way fares as low as $41*.

“We are delighted to grow our Allegiant network and welcome service to and from Omaha,” said Punta Gorda Airport CEO James Parish. “With this addition, we will be able to offer great seasonal travel options connecting the Midwest and Southwest Florida.”

According to its recent economic impact study, each new route added at Punta Gorda Airport contributes to the creation of 50 new jobs with $1.6 million in labor income generated in Charlotte County. In addition to additional labor income in Charlotte County, each route added will generate an annual total of $4.5 million in visitor spending.

The passenger count for the 12 months ending September 30, 2017 was 1,158,262.
