Fishing. Golfing. Dining. These are some of the elements that make up a mancation and last month (Nov. 14 – 17), travel blogger James Hills of spent a few days exploring Charlotte County and sharing his experience on social media.

A guest of the Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor & Convention Bureau, Mr. Hills’ itinerary included fishing with Capt. Jay Withers where he caught his first-ever snook and a trout that was prepared by the Lock ‘N Key Restaurant; golfing at Riverwood Golf Club; learning to properly crack blue crabs at Peace River Seafood; enjoying comfort food with a modern twist at LeRoy’s Southern Kitchen and Bar; and learning about craft beer and spirits at Fat Point Brewing and Alligator Bay Distillers, accordingly.

During his visit, he shared his experiences with photos and videos on his social media channels and has since written two blog posts and more will be published, soon.

Through hosting travel bloggers, the destination is able to share our message and attract new visitors.
