(Englewood, FL)  The Board of Englewood Beach WaterFest is very pleased to announce that the Englewood Florida Chamber of Commerce will be collaborating to bring WaterFest, an all-ages entertainment event showcasing water recreation and conservation activities, to Englewood Beach for our fourth time.

For individuals interested in water resources, recreation and their responsible use, Englewood Beach Waterfest is a multi-day celebration featuring boat races, both paddle and power, marine education exhibits, food and fun, the proceeds from which are contributed to local charities who support these causes.  One of WaterFest's highlights is the OPA World Championship of Offshore Power Boat Racing.  The racing will take place off Englewood Beach on November 17th and 18th, following the race boat exhibition and block party that is scheduled for Friday, November 16th.

“We’re excited to be able to make the resources of the Chamber available to this World Class Event,” stated Ed Hill, Executive Director of the Englewood Chamber. Hill explained the Chamber’s involvement will include assistance in securing sponsorships, marketing and promotional support, help to facilitate the coordination of governmental services and anything else that is within the scope of the Chamber. “I strongly encourage our members, and the entire business community, to support this community event.  The economic impact to our area exceeds $6.1million each year.”

Steve Schroeder, President of Englewood Beach Waterfestsaid that he could not be more pleased to be working with the Englewood Chamber Executive Director, Board and Members to support Englewood Beach Waterfest and help us make Waterfest the largest event on the entire Suncoast of Florida. “The Chamber ‘s extensive Resources are  a perfect compliment to the hard work of our all Volunteer Board.” The Board of Waterfest is well into the planning stages to bring to our Community an even bigger, reimagined event with something for everyone. “We will be announcing these plans often.
