Every year, CHNEP volunteers go out to try to pick up plastic, monofilament, and styrofoam in and along waterways to reduce marine debris that endangers wildlife and pollutes the regional rivers leading to the Gulf of Mexico. Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center will be providing an amazing naturalist guide and CHNEP scientists will be ready to answer any environmental questions. We will keep our eyes and ears out for all wildlife, so don't forget to bring your binoculars and camera!
Safety equipment will be provided to volunteers at this event.
Additional supplies will be provided by CHEC, Team Punta Gorda,, and Florida Sea Grant.
