CHARLOTTE HARBOR & THE GULF ISLANDS, Fla. (Oct. 08, 2015) – The Charlotte Harbor Visitor & Convention Bureau website has been acknowledged for its creative excellence on the web by being awarded a Silver W3 Award in the Tourism category. The website,, was redesigned and launched in April 2015, by Simpleview, the global leader of sales and marketing solutions for destination marketing organizations. 

The redesigned website is visually rich and contains content and photography produced by local writers and photographers. The site is fully mobile responsive and features a new, commission-free booking engine making it easier for visitors to book their accommodations online. The commission-free structure means accommodations are not paying commissions to online travel agencies. Members of Charlotte County’s tourism industry can easily update their listings on the website and add photography and video through the new partner extranet.
