CHARLOTTE HARBOR & THE GULF ISLANDS, Fla. (October 30, 2014) – The Charlotte Harbor Visitor & Convention Bureau is pleased to announce the 2014 Third Quarter winners of the “Show Us Your Charlotte” photography program. Mr. Bert Cass III won first place with a photograph of a beach umbrella creating a rainbow of contrast along Englewood Beach and Capt. Mike Slattery was awarded second place with a photograph of a fishing client with a 40” redfish.
“Show Us Your Charlotte” is a program encouraging photographers of every skill level to submit photos taken in Charlotte County to www.ShowUsYourCharlotte.com. This quarter, Visitor and Convention Bureau staff selected six photos as contest finalists based upon the quality of the photos and how well they represent and communicate Charlotte County’s tourism offerings. The final decision on first and second place winners was made by the Tourist Development Council. Prizes awarded include gift certificates for local tourism related business and services. First prize value is no less than $200 and second prize is no less than $50.
The photos will be used to invite potential visitors to experience the area’s good nature and may be featured on the Charlotte Harbor Visitor & Convention Bureau website (www.CharlotteHarborTravel.com), on one of its social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest, or on a postcard or in a magazine.
