This year’s 3rd Annual Art on the Harbor boasts nearly 50 artist and authors.

The ultimate art-and-craft show, right on the water! Featuring everything from traditional art work in oil, acrylics, and watercolors to photography, stained and fused glass, pottery, beaded work, jewelry, and more, as well as local authors, selling and talking about their latest works! There will also be live music from Chris G., 11:00 am–1:30 pm and Michael Hirst, 2:00–4:00 pm.

The Arts and Humanities Council of Charlotte County, Inc.
The Arts and Humanities Council of Charlotte County (“Charlotte Arts”), is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization whose purpose is to encourage, strenghten, promote, and foster a cultural environment in Charlotte County.

Charlotte Arts is recognized by the State of Florida and Charlotte County as the Local Arts Agency (LAA), which are authorized by Florida State Statute.  Charlotte Arts supports local visual artists, musicians, theater groups, dance studios, writers, poets, cultural organizations, and more.

Since 2009, Dancing with the Charlotte Stars has been the signature event of Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County. In total, 44 local celebrities have raised more than $136,000 that has been used for local arts and humanities programming. Proceeds from this year’s Dancing with the Charlotte Stars will again be used for all of Charlotte Arts programs, including Art in Public Places, Art on the Harbor, Writers Read, Expressions from Beautiful Minds (caregiver training to generate artistic expression from people with dementia and memory loss), Café Philo’s discussion groups, and other programming, including grant funding for Charlotte County Public Schools classroom projects that integrate The Arts into the traditional curriculum.
