2016 Hands Across the Harbor Bridge Run, Ride, and Roll

The 8th Annual Hands Across the Harbor event, scheduled for January 30, 2016, is kicking it up a notch and offering a half marathon for the first time!  The 13.1 mile run will take place on a scenic route traversing through three parks and over several bridges including the 1.2 mile Gilchrist Bridge spanning the Peace River, which connects beautiful Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte, FL.  In addition, a timed 5K run and a 5K fun walk will utilize a portion of this same route.  For those preferring to ride vs. run, bicycle excursions are being coordinated to include 13.1, 20 and 30 mile routes.  Last but not least, the event will again include a sanctioned International Distance Skateboard Association timed longboard race which will take place on the same course as the half marathon.
